In a concert hall the strings run from the stage over the seats to the balcony, so the audience hears the music from inside it. A typical installation takes about three hours.

William and the Collective have played theaters from the Shanghai Grand Theatre to the Kennedy Center and the Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston, and recent dates have sold out, some of them oversold.
A performing arts center is a perfect home for the Earth Harp. The audience is surrounded by the lush harmonics of the strings and hears music in a completely new way.
Kennedy Center residency, 2016
The Kennedy Center invited William and the Collective for an extended stay. William installed two Earth Harps in the Hall of States and gave daily public concerts, and he led instrument-building workshops for the education department.
The residency ended with the full Earth Harp Collective in the Eisenhower Theater. William set up a third Earth Harp for a sold-out concert that closed with two standing ovations.
Formats
More than 20 years creating musical moments for openings, opening and closing sessions, product launches and dinner concerts. The concert can pair with a talk on invention and sound, and the music is shaped around the theme of the event.
The Earth Harp captures the magic and mystery of holiday and sacred music. Collective vocalist Rafe Pearlman brings deep study of sacred repertoire and the traditional beauty of holiday classics.
Lecture-demonstrations, instrument-building workshops and residencies, including the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, the Carnegie Science Center and the Kennedy Center.
Production shows
Sonic Odyssey, Royal Caribbean. In 2015, William and Sarah Werrin developed a show concept for Royal Caribbean’s flagship, Quantum of the Seas, with Behind the Radar. William created the show around his instruments and trained the original cast to play them.
Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ. A permanent installation for the show at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.
Las Vegas. A performance run at the Palazzo Theater, the opening of the ARIA and MGM Grand special events.
